Opera and Rock music have a lot in common but here is one difference. Opera expresses the depth of human emotion in its purest form, especially dispair, and so Operas tend to go on for 2-5 hours. Rock music expresses the sex drive in its purest form. Is this why the average rock song lasts for 3 minutes?
